Help a sister out

When Auntie Shayna comes over, this is how she "helps" Mom.

Nine Weeks

We went to Lennox's two month check up on Wednesday. At 12 pounds and 23 inches, he is in the 50th percentile for both weight and height. Five shots in his squishy thighs made us both very sad. He is becoming a much better napper and is sleeping five to six hours uninterupted at night. I discovered that loud white noise helps a lot. He prefers the radio fuzz on FM 89.5 to induce deeper zzz's.

Notice anything?

Sweet little X no longer sports a comb-over. Mommy clippered his hair--against Daddy's wishes. But everyone agrees he looks so handsome.

Happy Birthday Uncle Chav!

Lex and Oli helped Mom make this cake for Chavis. (They slept at the same time so she could create.) We had a fun family gathering on Sunday featuring Wii and food. Dad made a delectible dinner of tender steak skewers, perfectly grilled veggies, and flavorful blue cheese potatoes. Shayna's gooey orange rolls and Mimi's hearty green salad complemented the meal perfectly. Oh, and don't forget Kinsey's soda selection. And Pa's Moose Tracks ice cream. Kevin proclaimed it the best meal we've ever had as a family. All the nephews adore Uncle Chav. He is playful and strong, emits uncanny sound effects, and can get them to eat vegetables!

...it wasn't us!

I feel like this picture gives me a glimpse into the future: I see two guilty boys doing their best to convey innocence. I'm afraid we're in for it.

Hammock

The weather was so sunny and pleasant on Saturday. We went out on the deck and lounged in the hammock where we had a nice view of Dad buzzing down trees.

Sleepy Cheeks

I get to rub my face on these sweet, silky cheeks whenever I want to. Lucky, lucky me!

Cousin Henry

This is my cute cousin Henry who was born 5 days before I was. I can't wait to meet him--or better yet, for him to move here to the land of milk and honey!
